When opening the exported file with the list of tokens in Excel, you may notice that some codes are displayed incorrectly, e.g., as 7.50E+17.

This happens because Excel automatically recognizes strings consisting only of digits as numbers. In the case of very long strings (which tokens are), the program converts them to the so-called scientific format (exponential), which causes a change in their appearance.

To ensure that all tokens are displayed correctly (in their full, unchanged form), you must import the file into Excel, manually specifying the column format.

How to correctly import tokens into Excel?

Instead of opening the CSV file by double-clicking it directly, perform the following steps:

  1. Open a blank worksheet in Excel.

  2. Go to the Data tab and select the Get Data (Power Query) option.

  3. Select the file with tokens downloaded from Webankieta.

  4. The Text Import Wizard will launch. In the first steps, set the appropriate separator (usually a semicolon or comma) so that the data is divided into columns. (this is an optional step, it applies only to the .csv file)

  5. Key step: In the last, 3rd step of the wizard, click the header of the column containing the tokens to select it (it will change color to black).

  6. In the "Column data format" section (in the upper right corner of the wizard), change the setting from "General" to Text.

  7. Click Close & Load.

Thanks to this procedure, Excel will treat the tokens as regular text, not numbers, and will display them exactly in the form in which they were generated in the Webankieta system.
