The user_token is added as a classic GET parameter to the survey URL. The parameter can only be used when the survey has the highest security level set with respondent identification enabled. In this case, the survey can be completed only once for a specific parameter value, and the passed added parameter will be attached to the completion, which will allow for later identification of the completion and linking it with a specific respondent.

Along with the user_token parameter, additional attributes for this contact can also be passed, so that they act as additional information about the respondent (e.g., client segment, employee department, number of the serving consultant). Passing this information allows for further filtering and segmentation of results according to the values passed in the attributes.
